¯ The Marietta Rowing and Cycling Club will be offering a canoe and kayak birdwatching event at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the reservoir at North Bend State Park. ¯ The Zonta Club of the MOV’s Delicates for Dignity lunch will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jeremiah’s Coffee House on Front Street. Tickets cost $ 25. The event will include a raffle and a speaker will give a presentation on human trafficking in the region. Beverly American Legion Unit 389 Auxiliary will be hosting a Poker Run on Saturday. First outing at 11 a.m., last outing at 1 p.m. Entrance cost per person is $ 10. All vehicles are welcome. Profits go to Reading Is Fundamental and other educational programs.
¯ The 11th Chili Cook-Off and Rally in the Alley will take place Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Beverly American Legion Post 389. The event features food and draft beer, Ohio State football, an ATV raffle and live music. Registration forms for chili cuisine can be found at the Legion Post and at Wainwrights Jewelry in Beverly.

¯ Joe Blystone, Republican candidate for governor, will meet with residents of Morgan County in a town hall from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Heck Harkins Community Center, 1685 Broadway St., Stockport. Students and parents will explore the two- and four-year options and speak to representatives from many institutions in Ohio and West Virginia.
