The board of directors of the Redlands Symphony Association named Luannn Bangsund president at the organization’s annual meeting, a June 16 dinner at the First Presbyterian Church of Redlands.

The other leaders installed at the meeting are Kathy Cencirulo, vice-president; Robert Dawes, treasurer; Denise Bourne, secretary; and Marilyn Solter, former president.

The group also welcomed new board members Caroleen Cosand, Sharen Jeffries, Julie Michaels and Melodee Seccombe. They will serve three-year terms.

Outgoing board member Jerry Bean has been recognized for his service to the Redlands Symphony. Bean, who served eight years on the board, including three as chairman, is stepping down due to the term limitation.

“I am very excited about the future of the Redlands Symphony,” said incoming chairman of the board, Luann Bangsund, according to a press release.

“It was difficult for all of us to ‘go black’ for over a year. We missed the musicians, our conductor, Ransom (Wilson) and our audience, but we are in good shape to move forward. It is very exciting to have four new board members joining us at this exciting time, ”said Bangsund. “We wouldn’t be the healthy organization we are today without the wise leadership of our Board of Directors, especially Marilyn Solter and Jerry Bean, our past presidents. “

The Redlands Symphony Orchestra plans to return to live concerts in the University of Redlands Memorial Chapel on October 9. For more information, visit or dial 909-587-5565.
